SAT and ACT
Preparation for the SAT and ACT is incorporated into high school English and Mathematics classes. Students in 8th-11th grades take the PSAT at CCS each Fall as additional preparation for the SAT. The ACT has also recently been offered to 10th - 12th grade students.
Rising 11th and 12th grade students are generally eligible to take college classes for dual-credit through Horry-Georgetown Technical College. Students will be awarded AP/IB credit on their CCS transcript for such classes.
