FAFSA
The FAFSA form for financial aid is now open for students planning to attend college in the Fall of 2023. The FAFSA is a free and required form for any student planning to receive scholarships and other financial aid from any institution. Get started:

South Carolina In-State Scholarship Programs
The Palmetto Fellows, LIFE, and HOPE scholarships are available to all SC students planning to attend any college, public or private, in the state of South Carolina. Requirements for these scholarships and state grant funds can be found at:
SAT and ACT
Preparation for the SAT and ACT is incorporated into high school English and Mathematics classes. Students in 8th-11th grades take the PSAT at CCS each Fall as additional preparation for the SAT. The ACT has also recently been offered to 10th - 12th grade students.

Dual Enrollment
Rising 11th and 12th grade students are generally eligible to take college classes for dual-credit through Horry-Georgetown Technical College. Students will be awarded AP/IB credit on their CCS transcript for such classes.
